Whittington Trophy - Round 1 Rules
<p>Rules: Conditions of Entry Entries will be limited to 54 with the closing date being the Friday 24th May2025. In the event of over subscription, the higher handicap players will be balloted out. A waiting list in handicap order will be kept in the event of players dropping out. Competitors will be informed as to whether their entry has been successful shortly after the closing date. Entrance Fee: £60 Per Person, which includes a light lunch between rounds. Practice Rounds Competitors may play a practice round from 15.00hrs the day prior subject to availability, at the cost of £45 per person. These can be booked through the Pro Shop once entry has been confirmed. Competition Format The format of the Whittington Trophy is a 36 hole, Scratch Medal Play, and governed by the rules of the R&A in conjunction with the local rules of Whittington Heath Golf Club. Any disputes will be dealt with by the tournament committee, who’s decision is final. Entry is open to anyone with a recognised Handicap Index (HI) not exceeding SIX under the current World handicapping System. Payment Method Payment will be taken upon entry through the website. Any entrant who’s payment has failed will be contacted to take payment prior to the event. In the event of a competitor withdrawing once entry in closed, no amount of the entry fee will be refunded. Prize Giving The Whittington Trophy will be presented to the winner shortly after completion of the final round. In the event of a tie, the winner of the trophy and associated prize will be decided by a sudden death play-off, with the holes used determined by the tournament committee on the day. Other ties will also be decided by this method. BUGGIES MAY BE USED BY PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN ISSUED A MEDICAL EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE BY A DOCTOR</p>
