Conditions of Entry
Entries will be limited to 54 with the closing date being the Monday 3rd of June 2024. In the event of over subscription, the higher handicap players will be balloted out. A waiting list in handicap order will be kept in the event of players dropping out. Competitors will be informed as to whether their entry has been successful shortly after the closing date.

Entrance Fee: £50 per person, which includes a light lunch between rounds.

Practice Rounds
Competitors may play a practice round from 15.00hrs the day prior subject to availability, at the cost of £45 per person. These can be booked through the Pro Shop once entry has been confirmed.

Competition Format
The format of the Whittington Trophy is a 36 hole, Scratch Medal Play, and governed by the rules of the R&A in conjunction with the local rules of Whittington Heath Golf Club. Any disputes will be dealt with by the tournament committee, who’s decision is final.

Entry is open to anyone with a recognised Handicap Index (HI) not exceeding SIX under the current World handicapping System.

Payment Method
Payment will be taken upon entry through the website. Any entrant who’s payment has failed will be contacted to take payment prior to the event.
In the event of a competitor withdrawing once entry in closed, no amount of the entry fee will be refunded.

Prize Giving
The Whittington Trophy will be presented to the winner shortly after completion of the final round. In the event of a tie, the winner of the trophy and associated prize will be decided by a sudden death play-off, with the holes used determined by the tournament committee on the day. Other ties will also be decided by this method.
These are the terms and conditions for players booking tee times for Whittington Heath Golf Club’s Open Competitions using the Club's Internet booking facility. When making payments, members are transferred to an external authorised online merchant’s secure site using SSL technology where credit card details are entered and payments are made on a secured page. Payment: To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process. This is done by selecting which Open competition you wish to enter, and then select your desired starting time. You will then be prompted to enter your details. All payments will be taken at the time the booking is made. Cancellation Policy: Open competition bookings must be cancelled by emailing the office. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the competition date will be refunded in full. Cancellations made between 1 and 14 days before the competition date will be subject to a 50% refund. No refund will be given for cancellations made on the day of the competition. Course Closed or Competition Cancelled: If the competition is cancelled at least one day or on the day of the competition a new date will be arranged if you are unable to attend the re-scheduled date a full refund will be issued.Handicaps: Competitions are open to all players who have a recognised CONGU handicap, with limits as defined on the entry form for any given competition.
